           HISTORY OF APPRENTICE ANGELS

                                AT bellevue baptist church

 

          The Senior members of Bellevue  Baptist Church met on Thuersday, November 11, 2004, for the purpose of forming 

a group who would meet for fellowship and various activites.  The floor was opened for suggestions from the group.  

John Smith had several ideas to present. "Apprentice Angels" was the name chosen for the orgaization. Another idea 

was to for telephone grops and call all members at least once a week to see how they are doing.   the phone committee

volunteers were Marie Chambers, Betty Tarbet, Tahwahnah James, Hellen Scruggs and Mary Ann Smith. Some other ideas

were to have social events, luncheons, accept anyone who wanted to join us regardless of age, assist and aid each other, 

aid our church with our leadership skills, and to set an example of Christian Commitment.  Officers were elected, by-laws stated, 

events calendar planned, badge committee and packet committee formed. Ed Scruggs and John Smith agreed to write 

 the Mission Statement for the Apprentice Angels. The group voted to meet the secound Thursday each month at

11:30 a.m. The first meeting was scheduled  for January 11, 2005, wth a covered dish lunch.  The following officers were elected:
